NY State approved 25-hour pre-licensing course. This course consists of 15.5-hours in the classroom with 6.5-hours of home-study and a 3-hour final exam. All hours, self-study assignments and a passing grade of 70% or higher must be completed in order to receive a certificate of completion. These requirements must be met before a student can apply for their license.
This course is available during the daytime, one-week accelerated schedule and now during evenings/weekends at limited locations.Students are required to obtain the textbook prior to the beginning of class in order to complete a mandatory self-study assignment due on the first day of class. Students may arrange to pay a
$16 shipping & handling fee + tax when registering for class or pick-up the textbook free of charge from the Westbury or NYC school locations. Textbooks are shipped via UPS Ground 2-Day.
Pohs Institute strongly recommends all students register at least seven (7) days prior to class in order to properly read, comprehend and complete the first self-study assignment which is due on the first day of class. The required assignment, along with instructions, will be included with the textbook.

Tuition includes your textbook.
Students who choose this option may then take the Life Only class for $100 at within one year of their Accident & Health Only class start date. The $100 WILL NOT include a new textbook.
